Andranik Berberyan
Composer, Conductor, Founder of Berberyan Production Studios.
Andranik Berberyan, born on August 15, 1994, in Yerevan, Armenia, is a renowned composer, music producer, and founder of Berberyan Production Studios, Armenia's leading music and sound production studio. Born into a family of musicians, Berberyan began his musical journey early, studying violin at the Sayat-Nova School of Music from 2001 to 2008. His dedication to music led him to the Yerevan State Conservatory, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Composition under Aram Satyan and a second Bachelor's in Symphonic and Opera Conducting with Ruben Asatryan in 2016, followed by a Master’s degree in Composition in 2018.

Berberyan began his professional journey as a composer and arranger with Sharm Holding in 2013 and later collaborated with Domino Production starting in 2017. His musical versatility allowed him to work with notable ensembles and orchestras, such as the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the State Youth Orchestra. His work has also extended into social and educational endeavors, co-founding the QuarterTone NGO in 2016 to promote contemporary Armenian music and founding Symbolium, a music education startup, in 2017.

In 2021, Andranik Berberyan founded Berberyan Production Studios in Armenia with a vision to create a comprehensive, full-service music and sound production company. The studio provides a wide range of services, from film scoring, orchestra recording with local talents and sound post-production to music production for large events, commercials, and international showcases. With a rich portfolio of over 40 films—including Songs of Solomon, Amerikatsi, and The Reverse Side of the Medal—the studio has become a cornerstone of Armenia's sound and film production industry.

Berberyan Production Studios has also contributed to a number of high-profile events and prestigious projects. Notable highlights include music for the Armenian Projection on Expo 2020 Dubai Skyline, music post-production for the Junior Eurovision Opening Ceremony in 2022, and music for the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships and the 2024 EBRD Annual Meeting Gala Concert.

As a composer for film, Berberyan has created scores for films such as Alter Ego (2016), Roots (2016), The Line series (2016, 2017), Erken Kisher (2018), Dream of Kafka (2020), Yasha and Leonid Brezhnev (2023), and more. His original score for Erken Kisher earned him a nomination at the 2019 Anahit National Film Awards for "Best Composer of the Year." He went on to win "Best Original Score" for Songs of Solomon at the Anahit National Film Awards in 2022 and for Amerikatsi in 2024. Additionally, in 2024, his work Love Photosynthesis was awarded both the "Golden Soundtrack" and "Golden Overall Soundtrack" at the Golden Short Film Festival.
